Profit is revenue after estimated fees and the costs you enter. It excludes costs you have not entered and income tax.

Why profit can fall faster than the selling price

Product, packaging and shipping costs often stay the same when you lower a price. This comparison holds your entered costs and charged shipping fixed, then recalculates tax and eBay fees at the discounted item price.

Example: reducing a $100 item to $85 cuts the price by 15%. With 6% buyer tax, $40 product cost and $5 shipping cost, profit falls from $40.18 to $27.35. Volume, ad attribution and return rates are not predicted.
